Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Punta del Mar has a total of 186 guest rooms, including 127 standard twin rooms, 26 singles and a further 33 apartments, which are built over 7 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Santa Ponsa.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Punta del Mar also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large split level freshwater swimming pool with a waterfall for adults, with separate children’s splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a smaller indoor heated indoor swimming pool with sauna, along with a children's mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Punta del Mar also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
